Where Good Food Meets a Great Cause: Meat with Mates

Kilcoy Global Foods is proud to have supported Your Mates Brewing’s annual Meat with Mates event, an incredible community day dedicated to raising money and awareness for men’s mental health. Now in its sixth year, the event continues to grow, bringing people together over great food, good company and an important cause.

This year, we donated Few & Far burger patties and Ebony Black Angus rump, cooking up a storm on the smoker for a full day of meat with mates. It’s a simple idea; share a meal, share a laugh, check in on each other - and it’s one we’re proud to stand behind.

All profits from Meat with Mates events go directly to the Mateship Foundation, a Sunshine Coast–born initiative dedicated to supporting Queensland charities doing meaningful work in the mental health space. What began in 2019 as a casual backyard-style gathering, has become a major community event attracting more than 300 people each year. At its heart, Meat with Mates is about acknowledgement and connection: recognising when someone might be doing it tough, making time for a yarn, and reminding one another that no one has to go through life alone.
